Have your say: Active Aging Forums June 21-23

Three upcoming forums are being held for residents to provide input into the city’s Active Aging Plan, which aims to help keep older adults active, healthy and engaged in their community.

Thursday, June 23 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Residents who require assistance with transportation to one of the forums can contact 905-335-7888, ext. 6343.

A brief presentation about the Active Aging Plan will begin the sessions, followed by small discussion groups focused on five key areas:

  • Recreation and leisure
  • Information and communication
  • Accessibility, diversity and inclusion
  • Volunteering and employment
  • Transit and transportation

A Better Burlington began in 2006 after my neighbours said they felt left out of city decisions, learning about them only after they’d been made.
