Burlington’s proposed new Official Plan now available online: Review the plan at open houses, share comments at Nov. 30 statutory public meeting

Press release – Burlington’s proposed new Official Plan, Grow Bold, is now available online at www.burlington.ca/newOP.

After months of gathering feedback from the public, agencies and other stakeholders, the proposed new Official Plan contains revisions to the draft new Official Plan which was released in April 2017. The proposed new Official Plan also contains the proposed new Downtown Precinct Plan and associated policies developed from the Downtown Mobility Hub Area-Specific planning study.

Opportunities for the public to review the proposed new Official Plan will be available at open house events and comments can be shared at a statutory public meeting where the proposed new Official Plan will be presented to Burlington City Council at a Planning and Development Committee meeting.

A staff report providing an overview of the new Official Plan (PB-50-17) will be presented at the Nov. 30 meeting. Also, a staff report providing an overview of the Downtown Precinct Plan (PB-81-17), will be presented at the same meeting.

A copy of the staff reports will be available to the public by Nov. 20, in advance of the Nov. 30 meeting at www.burlington.ca/newOP. Individuals who wish to speak at the Nov. 30 meeting can register as a delegation online at www.burlington.ca/delegate or by calling 905-335-7600, ext. 7855.
